VGF Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-10-26

What VGF accesses

VGF uses YouTube API Services. With your permission, given on Google's consent screen, it uses these Google OAuth scopes:

VGF sends to YouTube only the video, thumbnail, caption file and metadata (title, description, tags, visibility, publish time and the declarations YouTube asks for) that you prepared and chose to post. It does not read your other videos, your comments, your viewing history or any other data in your Google account.

Where your data is kept

VGF runs on your own computer. The OAuth tokens Google issues are stored only on that computer, in a file readable only by your user account. VGF has no servers, and neither the tokens nor any data from your Google account are sent to the developer or to anyone other than Google.

Sharing

VGF does not sell, share or transfer data obtained from Google APIs, and does not use it for advertising. VGF's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

You can revoke VGF's access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, or through the Google security settings page. Deleting the token file on your computer removes the stored tokens.

YouTube and Google

By using VGF to post to YouTube, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. How Google handles your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
